Before coming to AKLC, I faced many challenges in Chinese, Maths and English. At AKLC, I learned techniques in all these subjects (such as the Arrow Transfer Model), which I applied in exams and scored fairly well. I managed to score an A* for my prelims. Thank you Ms Cel, Nice and Friendly Ms Ashley and Mr Jeff (the cool bro). Thank you for teaching me.
Prior to joining AKLC, I was unable to do many questions in section C as I could not grasp those questions thoroughly and would often obtained borderline scores. All of this changed when I joined AKLC. The lessons at AKLC are engaging, fun and simple to understand. The trainers make you feel welcomed to ask questions and will gladly explain them. The lessons here has turned me into a more attentive person. Maths used to be my least favourite subject until I came to AKLC. Thank you trainers for making me look forward to coming here every week!
I joined AKLC in the year of 2015. Before I joined AKLC, my grades were not good. I improved a lot after joining AKLC. My Chinese improved from 49% to 89% and my Maths improved from 74% to 84%. The trainers were very helpful. They coached me patiently and explained to me whenever I faced difficulty with questions. This is the main difference between AKLC and other tuition centres that I have attended before.
My coaching experience helped me to know when or how to speak appropriately and constructively, especially to adults and even strangers. The experience has transformed me greatly - I am now more sociable and matured in my interactions - in ways that I know will put me in good stead in the future.
I started attending AKLC when I was in Primary 6. Mr Jeffrey keeps the lesson fun and interesting which makes it easier for us to remember whatever he taught in class and I even started looking forward to his classes. The methods that he teaches us are very easy to remember as he uses funny acronyms to memorize content. Overall, Mr Jeffrey’s classes are great. I would surely continue to attend classes at AKLC!
Before joining AKLC, I struggled with all subjects, especially Maths. After I joined, the lessons gave me a better understanding of the subjects and improved my grades as well. I scored a B for every single subject and got into Express stream thanks to AKLC! I would like to thank Ms Adeline and Mr Eugene
I could not understand and write phrases in Chinese and I had not been doing well for my exams. AKLC has taught me the methods of answering questions and the lessons have made my marks jump from D to A. I would like to thank teacher Ashley because she cared for all her students and she taught us well.
I joined AKLC since I was in P4 (2015), in the English and Math classes.
What I like best about AKLC is that we don't only work hard but we play hard too! The trainers and student leaders are like family, who's always there to support and motivate us, whether in class or bonding activities such as AKLC family day.
During this time, the AKLC learning materials have helped me understand and do better in English and Math as my trainers are always very engaging and personally interested to provide extra classes or materials whenever I needed them. Classes are also not always conducted in a serious academic way but also comes with fun activities, sharing or videos which helps make learning fun and lasting.
My journey with AKLC has helped me achieved 4As in my PSLE which helped me entered into my choice secondary school and I look forward to furthering my learning journey with AKLC - where all can work hard and play hard!
Lessons at AKLC helped me to improve in Maths, and it made things much easier to understand. I improved from a D to a B for PSLE Maths in 2 terms. I would recommend AKLC to all my friends!
I joined AKLC when I was in P1. I am able to use the ATM method to answer those questions in school that were difficult to solve. I’ve consistently scored 90+ for Maths and was awarded the Mathematician Award in school. The trainers at AKLC are friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, and they helped to sustain my interest and motivation to do well in Maths. They have gone beyond the standard materials during lessons and challenged me to do even more.
